Muskaan works on health awareness in both slums and in government schools. In the slums Muskann holds both formal meetings and makes informal house calls with pregnant women and young mothers. Muskaan covers issues of personal health, which are otherwise rarely discussed at home or school. In collaboration with the Health Department Muskaan carried out a study to ensure that health services would reach all different kinds of slums, and not be limited only to official government lists, which are often outdated.
