Less than 5% of children from adivasi and dalit families finish class 12. In urban areas, average years of schooling for these children is only 3 years. It is not about their will-power or intention.

Let us all come together to make a change! Contribute to Muskaan's work and help make education more meaningful to reach people who do not have the opportunities or resources to access it.

Without the generosity of private donors and foundation grants Muskaan could not carry out its work. If you have an activity, skill, passion, game, talent, idea or just some time you would like to share and spend with children or adults - this would be of interest to you!

Conduct Creative Workshops : Self-expression is one of the greatest joys of learning! Help inspire our children with music, dance, theatre, painting, film making etc.
Share Your Skills : Do you have a livelihood skill like carpentry, pottery, book binding, vehicle repairs, computer assembly, etc. that you would like to share?
Tell a Story : There is a lot to understand and learn from other people’s lives – you can share your experience and stories of different people, places, work, etc. Exposure motivates students to learn more!
Illustrate and Design : Help collect content, illustrate and design classroom teaching materials, activity material, children's stories,etc.
Manage and maintain the Website.

Help Build a Permanent Center: While we have centers within the slums, many activities are not possible because of limited space. Rented premises have not proved a good option as we have to shift often due to pressure from neighbors who do not want slum children in their community. Please help us build a safe permanent center with a donation to the Muskaan's corpus fund. You can donate any amount from Rs 500/- onwards towards this cause, by money order, demand draft, cheque or bank transfer.
Towards a Child’s Education for a year: This includes tuition, books and a meal @ Rs 5000/-
Towards one meal for 300 children studying at Muskaan's Learning Center @ Rs 1500/-
Adopt a Balwadi : This includes a nutritious meal, teaching material and the remuneration of the Balwadi worker @
Towards a computer: As the world becomes more dependent advances technically and electronically, efforts are being made to set up a computer center where children can pick up some basic computer literacy.
For Indian Nationals: All donations in Indian rupees are eligible for tax exemption under Section 80G.
